Thank you for those who have listened to the launch of our first podcast, Globally Speaking, the response has been very positive and I’m extremely grateful that it appears we have found a need that interests people. As I have said to many it is one of the most fun things I have done in my career and I look forward to where it is going!
With that said the episode we released was recording in front of a live audience as I mention in the very start of the podcast. This was done for a few reasons. The first is I anticipated that it would provide an extra level of motivation and energy for us, both Renato and I like to perform and so this added the element of live theater which was fun. Second, this is a new area for us and it is important to me to have the trust and input of the people we work with. Often good ideas can fail because of a lack of trust or failure to let others in that can help you succeed so this was an effort to avoid that. Third, it provided us immediate feedback. This is a work in progress and we have very high goals with what we can achieve regarding reach and production quality. Instead of trying to execute on perfect we made a strategic decision to launch and iterate as we go, I am grateful we did.
